• YMCA Facility Management -
  • Full Time Property Manager

    • In conjunction with policies and guidelines established by the Board of Directors, the Property Manager has the following scope of responsibilities:

      • Management of the YMCA grounds, physical facility, and vehicles

      • Supervise YMCA Cleaning Crew and Assistant Property Manager position

      • Departmental budget and implementing action steps as part of association plan

      • Responsibility for relationships with Building and Properties Committee members

      • Exemplary customer service, modeling the core values of the YMCA with an emphasis on the Y’s focus statement


      • Education – Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent

      • Previous Experience – 3 years minimum experience in related fields

      • Commercial Pool Certified preferred

      • Additional trade skills and certification a plus

      • Ability to communicate effectively with others and to work as a team player

• YMCA Administration -
  • Part Time HR Assistant

    • The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of employment law and will ensure compliance with same. Responsibilities include reference checks; on-boarding and orientation of new employees; fingerprinting; maintenance of personnel and payroll information; assisting accountant with payroll; benefits management, in addition management of Workers Comp and unemployment claims.

      The individual selected will have at least two (2) years of experience in human resources; be proficient in Word and Excel; have exceptional organizational and communication skills and be attentive to detail. Excellent customer service skills is a must along with support of the YMCA Mission.

  • Coaches/Instructors/Assistants. All candidates should possess a positive attitude and a desire for excellence. Experience in gymnastics, tumbling desired; job requirements include spotting and technical efficiency in gymnastics/tumbling. Salary range depends on experience.

YMCA Wellness Department
Part-time positions available for:
  • The Sidney-Shelby County YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic mission driven Wellness Center Coach/Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for engaging people of all ages to build relationships and help each individual to reach their health and wellness goals. The Wellness Center Coach/Trainer is a part-time position with morning and evening shifts available. Certifications are a plus but not required as the Y will provide training to the right candidate.   • The Wellness Department is seeking group exercise class instructor experience who desire to positively impact people’s lives. Experience is important, certification is a plus, but we will train the right person. Contact Operations Director, David O’Leary at 937-492-9134 or for more information.
YMCA Youth Department
  • Part-time position available for a Youth Coordinator

1. Coordinates and supervises Youth program activities to meet YMCA department objectives. Expands youth sports program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
2. Secures, prepares and schedules YMCA athletic fields and facilities for leagues and events . Transports and sets up equipment for games and practices; monitors and purchases necessary sporting equipment as budget permits.
3. Creates teams from paid registrations. Organizes and conducts volunteer coaches orientation meetings, and trainings ensure that all required paperwork for volunteers, parents and youth participants are completed, collected and maintained. Documents include but not limited to registration forms, Sidney-Shelby YMCA Youth Abuse prevention policies and procedures, Volunteer applications, Liability Release, Lindsay Law, Sex offender screening ect.
4. Develops and distributes league practice and league game schedules, sports rules, guidelines and handbooks.
5. Purchases and distributes team uniforms/shirts, equipment, and team photographs.
6. Organizes and conducts sports clinics, classes, and one-on-one sessions when applicable.
7. Assists in the marketing and distribution of youth sports program information, may organize and schedule program registrations.
8. Helps to develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.
9. Assists with seeking youth sponsorships and participates in YMCA annual campaign.
10. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints regarding youth programs in timely manner.
11. Compiles program statistics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation
in youth sports program.
12. Administers reimbursement agreement for applicable youth programs and/or contrast services.
13. Sits on Sidney-Shelby County YMCA Child Abuse Prevention Committee.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. One to two years related experience preferred.
2. Minimum age requirements may apply; for example, minimum age of 21.
3. Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include: completion of CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
4. Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications.
5. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
