Is the Y Closed?
Yes, due to Governor DeWine’s Mandate on March 16th our facility will be closed until further notice. This includes all programs, classes and events scheduled through April. At this time our Y Child Development Center remains open, however it is advised that parents prepare for when the Governor closes childcare centers sometime this week. Please continue to watch our Facebook page and website for updated information.

 

HOURS OF OPERATION during the COVID-19 closure.

Effective April 7th until further notice our hours of operations will be as follows:

Membership: Mon-Fri: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
If you have questions regarding your YMCA membership or program registration we will have someone available via phone to answer those questions. You may also email info@sidney-ymca.org. Please check back here frequently for the most up-to-date information.

Pandemic Child Care - Mon-Fri: 5:00 am to 6:00 pm
Our Pandemic Child Care hours are 5 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday.

 


How Long will the Y be Closed?
The Y will remain closed until the Governor lifts his mandate in relation to all fitness facilities.

What about my payments for my membership?
Now more than ever, we need you to help our Y by keeping your membership current. As a charitable organization, we rely on your support so that we can continue to live out our mission to serve all. So even though your access to our fitness center will be temporarily curtailed, we ask that you prayerfully consider as a cause-driven member, to stay with us. We realize not everyone is able to continue supporting the YMCA with their membership dues, but we ask those who can to generously do so. If you are able to continue your membership you do not need to do anything. Drafts will be done as normal throughout the closure. For those that want to hold their drafts or cancel their memberships you will need to make that request either by phone or by clicking here. This request needs to be made by March 27th.


Will monthly membership drafts continue to occur during the closure?
As of now yes. If you want us to hold your membership, or cancel it, please click here. If we do not hear from you, we will draft your account on the normal draft date you set up when opening your membership (the 1st or 15tt)

Will there be anyone available to talk to during this time?
Due to the restrictions we will be operating on an adjusted schedule (listed below). We will have someone monitoring emails so if you have any questions you may email us at info@sidney-ymca.org. We are operating on limited staff so please know that we will respond as quickly as we can.

What will the Y do with our membership fees should we decide to continue to support the Y during the closure?
The YMCA is a non-profit organization which operates solely from the support of donors and our members dues. While our building will be closed during this time, we still have facility operational expenses that your membership dues will allow us to maintain without causing additional financial challenges. Your payments through our closure will be eligible for tax deduction!

Where can I find ways to keep active and connected?
GOOD NEWS! We have created a Facebook group for our members and community to continue to stay connected and active. Our very own fitness instructors will be going live to continue their amazing classes with you. Click Here to join the page!

What about programs and events?
As of right now we are placing a hold on all registrations for programs and events. We hope to resume these as soon as we are able to. Please watch our Facebook and website for updates on all programs. If you paid for future programs, we will carry those over to the new sessions. Should any program or event get cancelled and unable to be rescheduled you will be able to ask for a credit or refund.
