CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

The Sidney-Shelby County YMCA has been focusing on a capital campaign strategy
for more than a decade. Here’s what we know…

  • Our community needs exceptional childcare at a reasonable price to move families
    forward and thrive.
  • Our community needs a healthy living hub for the entire family.
  • The space needs to be safe, secure, and offer technology.

As the capital campaign moves into its first phase, we will add 90 spaces for infants, toddlers,
and preschool children. We will be creating a dynamic acceleration of childcare facilities with a center
for childcare development. Behind the scenes, we will be working to modernize our
facility and update the infrastructure.

As the capital campaign moves into the second phase, our members will benefit from an
upgraded aquatics center, locker rooms, and health and wellness spaces. Our community
will enjoy a YMCA that will be the hub for healthy living in Shelby County. Our YMCA is at
the leading edge of chronic disease prevention, providing a vital social network of support
for our members, and is a place where all can come together to make our community stronger.

Our Board is excited to lead the YMCA into the next decade with state-of-the-art childcare,
technology, and programs.
